About The Position

McKee Foods is seeking an Applications Administrator to join our Plant Business Systems team. As the Manufacturing Systems Application Administrator, you’ll lead our AQuA digital forms program and oversee various business applications from design through implementation. You’ll serve as a friendly, expert liaison between our manufacturing teams and IT, ensuring software and hardware run smoothly while prioritizing safety and data integrity. By applying MOS principles and providing engaging user training, you will help streamline our operations and drive continuous improvement across the campus.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (2 years’ experience = one year education)
  • One year related experience
  • Knowledge of the McKee Manufacturing environment and the business systems used to support it including OPM, WMS, LPS, MCS, Maximo, P44, etc.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools and practices using Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets (i.e. advanced formulas, statistical tools, pivot tables, etc.) or similar tool(s)
  • Foundational understanding of software design and development, database structure, networking, and delivery of web based applications
  • Fundamental understanding of computer hardware including pcs, thin clients, terminal servers, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Experience in coordinating development of Power BI or Incorta based reports
  • Working knowledge of and understanding of Active Factory tools (Trend, Query, etc.) and/or Ignition
  • Understanding of Dell Wyse/Igel Thin Client OS
  • Knowledgeable of FSMA and BRC standards
  • Basic understanding of SQL
  • Basic understanding and some experience in PLC systems
  • Lean Manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

  • Primary lead for business applications with a focus on personal safety and food safety compliance
  • Lead coordinator for the implementation, training, and support of the AQuA tool suite (Hydrate, Dewpoint, Checkpoint) for TN Manufacturing
  • Manage campus-wide support for plant floor kiosks, waste tracking, and MSS stations, including coordinating new installations and hardware upgrades
  • Collaborate with product owners and IT to support and evolve internal tools like MIDAS, Waste Tracking, and Lift Truck Inspection systems
  • Deliver actionable data insights and reporting for all supported business systems
  • Provide secondary support for mobile devices and kiosks while acting as a backup for other application administrators
  • Develop and support specialized projects utilizing the Ignition platform
  • Act as an on-call intermediary for system outages and manage ongoing maintenance and security protocols
  • Develop and facilitate comprehensive training content for both end users and advanced power users
  • Evaluate all activities against MOS principles with a dedicated customer-service mindset and a commitment to workplace safety
