About The Position

Our Application Support Specialists are responsible for the reliability and day-to-day operation of our proprietary electronic options trading platform. They work directly with traders and developers to monitor production, diagnose issues, manage incidents, and ensure our systems are ready for the market every day.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a technical role
  • Experience with system monitoring tools & techniques
  • Deep technical troubleshooting skills of proprietary software that runs on Windows Servers
  • Passionate about learning trading concepts, financial instruments, and market data feeds
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset, with the ability to suggest improvements and enhancements to systems and processes
  • Ability to effectively document support processes, production issues in JIRA, third-party software usage, and help contribute to and maintain wiki-based documentation
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with developers, users, and cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Service-oriented and enjoy troubleshooting complex problems
  • Take ownership of projects and tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with scripting/programming languages and tools like Python, C#, or PowerShell

Responsibilities

  • Monitor production, diagnose issues, and manage incidents.
  • Ensure systems are ready for the market daily.
  • Troubleshoot proprietary software that runs on Windows Servers.
  • Document support processes, production issues in JIRA, and third-party software usage.
  • Contribute to and maintain wiki-based documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with developers, users, and cross-functional teams.
  • Study for and obtain a Series 57 Securities Trader Representative qualification.
  • Perform software maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot basic networking issues.
  • Provide user computer setup support.
  • Independently monitor and maintain the proprietary trading system.
  • Provide timely and effective support to users.
  • Propose system enhancements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
