About The Position

The Infosys Financial Services unit is seeking an Application Enterprise Architect, assigned to the job role of Architecture Consultant 3. The role supports digital transformation for financial institutions across banking, wealth management, and insurance, applying technologies such as AI, cloud, and data-led innovation. The architect gathers client needs through workshops and interviews and develops business requirements covering functional and non-functional needs. The role reviews and develops scalable, reliable, and maintainable solution architectures; recommends suitable technologies, tools, and platforms; and designs integration strategies across systems. The architect resolves technical challenges throughout build, deployment, and support, advises development teams, and works closely with clients and internal teams to help deliver projects successfully. Additional work includes identifying system risks and optimization opportunities, maintaining an accessible knowledge base, and contributing architectural insights to proposals and RFPs. The position also emphasizes architecture governance, automated drift detection and health monitoring, architecture-as-code and policy-as-code, and the use of generative AI and prompt engineering for architecture analysis. The role may require relocation and/or travel to the work or project location. Infosys does not provide immigration sponsorship for this role.

Requirements

  • Experience designing automated architecture drift detection and architecture health monitoring across applications, cloud platforms, infrastructure, and integrations.
  • Strong experience translating architecture principles, guardrails, patterns, and non-functional requirements into machine-verifiable rules and automated governance controls.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise and cloud architecture principles, integration patterns, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices.
  • Programming experience in one or more enterprise technologies, preferably Java (Spring Boot and microservices), .NET, or Python; Python is preferred for AI/ML use cases.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Chat or generative AI, advanced prompting techniques, and reusable prompt libraries for architecture analysis and recommendations.
  • Experience with architecture reviews, trade-off analysis, impact assessments, compliance evaluation, and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of each year of education.
  • Authorization to work in the United States for any employer without employer-based visa sponsorship; Infosys is unable to provide immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to embed architecture telemetry, compliance checks, and policy controls into CI/CD pipelines and runtime environments.
  • Experience building dashboards, alerts, metrics, and architecture health indicators to identify deviations, risks, and trends.
  • Experience modeling architecture metadata, relationships, lineage, and data structures for automated analysis and decision-making.
  • Ability to communicate complex architecture concepts and prepare executive-level presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and Confluence.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with enterprise architects, domain architects, platform engineering teams, application teams, and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Create business requirements documents covering functional and non-functional requirements based on workshops and interviews with client stakeholders.
  • Review, propose, and develop solution architectures that align application design with the proposed framework and are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
  • Assess and recommend technologies, tools, and platforms to meet business requirements.
  • Review technical solutions and develop strategies for integration across technologies and systems to support seamless communication and data flow.
  • Resolve complex technical challenges during build, deployment, and support, while promoting reusable frameworks and artifacts.
  • Provide specialized insights to development teams and build collaborative relationships with clients and internal teams to support successful project execution.
  • Identify system-landscape risks, monitor system performance, and recommend optimization initiatives aligned with business requirements and long-term objectives.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive, accessible knowledge base.
  • Contribute architectural insights to proposals and RFPs.
  • Perform architecture reviews, trade-off analyses, impact assessments, compliance evaluations, and checks for alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Support initiatives that improve project execution and transitions, and mentor others while fostering knowledge sharing.
