About The Position

The Manufacturing Application Engineer supports IT and manufacturing application systems for EV battery production facilities across North America. The role combines IT knowledge with manufacturing operations to support factory automation, troubleshoot production systems, and improve manufacturing efficiency in a fast-paced production environment. The position is onsite and requires up to 30% travel; business trips may last from one to five weeks depending on project needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, IT Systems, or Manufacturing System Management.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle SQL.
• Experience supporting manufacturing systems such as MES, WMS, ERP, or MCS.
• Familiarity with factory automation environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Korean language skills are a plus but are not required.
• Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and troubleshoot IT and manufacturing application issues for EV battery plants.
• Monitor and maintain manufacturing systems to ensure stable and reliable operations.
• Support system implementations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
• Communicate with plant users, IT vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and user guides.
• Provide user training and technical support for manufacturing systems.
• Support factory automation software implementation and testing while working with equipment and PLC engineers.
• Investigate and resolve production-related system issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a multicultural environment.
