About The Position

The Application Engineer (Backend) will develop, test, deploy, and sustain Python-based REST endpoints, microservices, and data-model management capabilities. The role uses Django and Flask frameworks to interact with data models stored in MariaDB or MongoDB and deliver requested data in JSON format to user-interface front ends. The developer will provide middleware and backend support for all system applications.

Requirements

• Active and current TS.SCI with FSP through MD.
• Eight years of experience.
• Python experience.
• Docker experience.
• Experience with Django or Flask.
• Database experience using MongoDB or MariaDB.
• REST endpoint development experience.
• Experience with the microservice model.

Nice To Haves

• AWS or other cloud experience.
• JSON and/or XML serialization experience.
• Jira experience.
• Confluence experience.
• Git version control experience.
