The Application Engineer (AE) role delivers technical support and proposals to sales and customers for the purpose of developing, selling, and implementing Trelleborg products and solutions. This role involves collecting and analyzing customer information to understand their business and technical needs, creating technical proposals, and developing and delivering technical sales presentations. The AE will also manage technical prints and documents, coordinate cross-functionally with various internal teams and external suppliers, and respond to customer inquiries and troubleshoot technical problems. The position requires identifying value propositions, assisting in sales growth and profitability targets, and managing engineering projects efficiently. The AE will also build customer relationships, provide market feedback, promote Trelleborg products and services, and conduct internal training sessions. Responsibilities include article number creation, KPI reporting, learning and utilizing internal processes, developing procedures for efficient project processing, submitting quote requests, ensuring compliance with SOPs, developing cross-training materials, representing the company in cross-functional teams, assisting with technical quality issues, and supporting IT efforts.
