BrainBox AI is hiring an Application Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for hardware and software design activities for building automation systems. You will also apply engineering principles and practices for work on assigned projects and design cost effective control solutions to meet project requirements.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction or Engineering Technology, or other related areas preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the HVAC industry performing project management or estimating roles; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Windows operating system and Microsoft Office product knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the operation and design of HVAC Systems, Building Automation Systems, and/or Temperature Controls preferred.
  • Experience with CAD program, as well as basic understanding of electrical drawings and schematics preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design commercial comfort control and automation systems with supervision.
  • Obtain and review contract documents; proposals mechanical plans, specifications, estimates, equipment submittals, etc. for incorporation into the design of an automation system.
  • Create installation drawings, submittal drawings, sequences of operations for the efficient installation of the project.
  • Conduct on-site project surveys if needed to determine controls solutions.
  • Transition these documents to the field.
  • Responsible for the follow-up of creating as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and assisting with the transition of these to the service department.
  • Follow engineering standards that are currently in place as well as following guidance from mentor/ manager.
