About The Position

We are seeking 2 Application Developers for a multiyear modernization initiative to replace aging legacy systems. This role involves working with a modern stack including Angular, REST APIs, Azure SQL Managed Instances, Azure Function Apps, Power BI, and a document management and process automation solution. The goal is to support scalable, secure, and efficient operations, improve performance, reduce manual work, enhance security, and increase user satisfaction. The initiative is underway with a cloud migration completed and a member portal modernization targeted for July 2025. All IS resources support legacy systems while simultaneously building modernized ones, with an established SDLC and a defined foundation for modern applications.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of modern application development frameworks, programming languages, and secure coding practices.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile.
  • Knowledge of business process analysis, functional design principles, documentation standards, user story development, and acceptance criteria definition.
  • Knowledge of client business rules, including those specific to the Pension Software System.
  • Familiarity with legacy systems architecture, dependencies, technologies, and integration points.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work output with minimal defects.
  • C#, .Net, Web API, Angular 16+, SQL, Azure DevOps, GIT.

Nice To Haves

  • Computer Science or MIS degree with 3-5 years' experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Responsibilities

  • Performing all aspects of application development, including coding, unit testing, documentation, code reviews, and submitting pull requests for client staff to review.
  • Developing, enhancing, and maintaining application components that meet functional and technical requirements.
  • Developing clear, actionable user stories and maintaining a prioritized backlog.
  • Developing APIs, system interfaces, and automation workflows.
  • Translating technical specifications into maintainable, production-ready software.
  • Collaborating effectively with client technical staff, analysts, testers, and project managers.
  • Managing multiple development tasks and meeting established timelines.
  • Communicating complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
