About The Position

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is seeking a talented and highly motivated part-time Application Developer Intern to join the Applications, Development, and Integrations (ADI) unit for the Spring semester. This paid, semester-long internship is intended for students currently enrolled in college and offers the opportunity to learn practical skills and gain experience for a career in Information Technology. The position is part of a team that develops enterprise solutions supporting critical University of Florida business processes. The role is located in Gainesville, Florida and is not remote.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• UF Student Assistant candidates must be eligible to work on campus and maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
• OPS Intern candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming languages such as Java or C++.
• Familiarity with SQL and database structures.
• Team collaboration skills.
• Problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions for internal University of Florida ERP systems.
• Test and develop an entry-level developer training program.
