About The Position

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is seeking a talented and motivated, part-time Web & Mobile Application Developer Intern for the spring semester. This paid, semester-long internship is intended for students currently enrolled in college and provides an opportunity to develop practical skills and experience for a career in information technology. The intern will join Applications, Development, & Integrations (ADI) and collaborate with the UX & Portal Solutions team, including experienced developers and UX designers. The position focuses primarily on accessibility improvements for UF’s digital solutions, including the one.uf site and the UF mobile app. The role is located in Gainesville, Florida, and is not remote. Employment is through student Other Personnel Services (OPS).

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
UF Student Assistant applicants must be eligible to work on campus and maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
OPS Intern applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Some prior or current coursework and/or experience related to application or web development; personal project work will also be considered.
Willingness to receive direction and feedback from a mentoring developer.
Works well in a team environment, is comfortable working independently at times, and is willing to ask for help when needed.
Desire to work on a project focused on improving the user experience for UF students on one.uf and the UF mobile app.
