About The Position

Intradiem is seeking an Application Deployment Engineer to plan and carry out application deployments across development, testing, staging, and production environments. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams and supports reliable, automated releases through deployment scripting, infrastructure as code with Terraform, and CI/CD pipeline improvements. The engineer monitors and troubleshoots deployment issues, verifies releases through testing, and follows release management policies and best practices. The position also documents deployment processes and troubleshooting guidance, keeps current with relevant technologies and DevOps practices, and improves deployment processes and tools. It provides technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members and performs other duties as assigned. Business must be conducted in accordance with Intradiem policies and procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in application deployment, release management, or related roles.
Strong knowledge of application deployment methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Extensive experience with scripting and deployment automation in a continuous integration environment.
Working knowledge of Terraform, including writing and maintaining modules, managing state, and integrating Terraform runs into CI/CD pipelines.
In-depth understanding of continuous integration practices and cross-platform integration challenges.
Proficiency in system-level and integration-level testing, with a strong background in quality assurance.
Experience specifying and implementing testing and production environment infrastructure.
Demonstrated deployment experience in hosted environments.
Strong Windows and Linux skills, including a deep understanding of Linux servers and the ability to navigate and troubleshoot effectively.
RHCSA and RHCE certifications.
Ability and desire to learn new technologies quickly and apply new skills.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Legal right to work in the country where the role is based at the time of application; identity and employment eligibility verification is required during onboarding.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, plan, and execute application deployment strategies and activities.
Deploy, configure, and manage applications across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
Develop and maintain deployment scripts and automation tools to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
Design, build, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, including reusable modules and remote state management.
Monitor and troubleshoot deployment issues, working with development and operations teams to identify and resolve complex problems.
Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless, automated application deployments.
Test and verify deployments to ensure accuracy, functionality, and performance.
Ensure compliance with deployment and release management policies, procedures, and best practices.
Document deployment processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in application deployment, DevOps, and infrastructure automation.
Improve processes and technologies for application deployment.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members and promote best practices.
Conduct business in accordance with Intradiem policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
