The Application Analyst III is responsible for configuring, testing, implementing, and supporting clinical, financial, administrative, and/or other healthcare information systems used for the delivery of patient care and/or other supporting functions of the organization. This role oversees practices and processes to ensure the integrity, safety, and availability of all data and applications, supporting the goals and objectives of the customer as well as the business needs of Hoag. Responsibilities include planning and system development, project management, and application administration. The analyst must be knowledgeable about the organization’s policies, procedures, and business operations. They will evaluate problem tickets and service requests, customer requests for system changes, data retrieval requests, system performance problems, and optimization opportunities, participating in the timely resolution of these activities. The role independently resolves the most complex, multi-function application errors and other system issues. Primary responsibility lies in the build and maintenance of various system dictionaries, profiles, tables, and other configuration points. The analyst identifies system enhancement requests and collaborates with the team for implementation. They independently manage the full lifecycle of medium to large optimizations and coordinate with vendors as appropriate. Testing of the system, including configurations, customizations, and new releases, is required prior to production implementation. The analyst works with end-users to assist with the design and testing of system reports and communicates changes to end-users and other staff. They lead or facilitate system design, validation, or remediation sessions. An advanced understanding of how the assigned application impacts other systems is necessary, and the analyst will work with integration teams to resolve complex data integration issues. This role leads large projects and serves as a subject matter expert on complex, cross-functional projects, providing guidance to level I and II analysts. The analyst performs these functions with minimal oversight and undertakes other duties as assigned.
