About The Position

Pyramid Consulting is seeking an Appian Senior Developer for a 6+ month contract opportunity with long-term potential. The position is remote and located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The developer will design enterprise-grade Appian solution architectures using Appian BPM, Appian RPA, and Appian AI to transform provider workflows. The role includes creating architecture blueprints, ensuring security and compliance, translating provider-domain requirements into optimized designs, leading RPA implementations, improving automation performance, and implementing responsible AI-driven decisioning in a regulated healthcare environment.

Requirements

• 6 to 8 years of hands-on core Appian development experience.
• Appian AI experience.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise-grade Appian solution architectures leveraging Appian BPM, Appian RPA, and Appian AI for provider workflows.
• Develop architecture blueprints defining component responsibilities, integration patterns, data flows, and performance and scalability targets.
• Ensure Appian solutions align with organizational standards for security, compliance, resilience, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, business, and infrastructure teams to translate provider-domain requirements into optimized Appian designs.
• Lead end-to-end Appian RPA implementations, including process selection, automation boundaries, exception handling, orchestration, scheduling, and governance.
• Analyze runtime metrics, resolve bottlenecks, refine bot design, and optimize resource allocation to improve RPA performance and throughput.
• Implement Appian AI-driven decisioning to improve provider data insights, case triage, routing, and prioritization.
• Ensure responsible and compliant AI usage, including transparency, auditability, and ethical standards in regulated healthcare environments.
