About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining merchandise and displays, staying current on product knowledge and advertised sales, and helping customers make buying decisions. The position is part time.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to perform the stated physical activities and demands, including standing or walking throughout the shift and moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly; occasional lifting and moving of objects up to 100 pounds or more may be required with team lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and in a friendly manner.
• Handle merchandise with care and provide customers with information, assistance, and direction.
• Support a high standard of customer service and a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Replenish and restock products according to merchandising guidelines and as needed.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs, make product recommendations, and promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
