About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio is hiring an Apparel Processor in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. The role supports store operations by sorting, hanging, and tagging donated apparel and domestics while ensuring soft-line departments meet quality standards. The employee also upholds customer service standards by greeting and thanking customers and donors in accordance with agency policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Good people skills.
• Ability to identify different shades and tones of color.

Responsibilities

• Stay knowledgeable about brand names, current and vintage items, fashion trends, and price points for apparel and domestic categories.
• Sort apparel into salable and salvage categories.
• Inspect items for tears, stains, wetness, odor, soil, broken zippers, and missing buttons; items must be flaw-free.
• Hang and tag quality donations promptly according to agency standards while meeting or exceeding individual production targets.
• Keep the processing area neat and clean and ensure the station is ready for the next shift.
• Embody DGR (Donated Goods Retail) MODE Guiding Principles.
• Follow agency safety policies and guidelines.
• Work with the supervisor and team members to address identified safety concerns.
• Greet and thank customers and donors according to agency policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
