APP (NP/PA) - Neurology/Stroke
About The Position
Join our rapidly expanding, Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. We are seeking a dedicated NP or PA to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team where quality, safety, and innovation are our top priorities. This role offers a dynamic split, with 1/3 of your time dedicated to outpatient training (General Neurology, Headache, Cognitive and Stroke follow-ups). You will gain expertise in procedures such as Lumbar Punctures, Botox administration, skin biopsies, and Nerve Blocks. The position involves an integrated daily workflow with Neuroradiology, Neurosurgery, and Vascular Surgery, and offers optional opportunities for research and teaching. Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited Nursing or Physician Assistant program.
- Current NP/PA certification and Massachusetts state license.
- Valid DEA and MCSR.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to function semi-autonomously with high-acuity patients.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Lumbar Punctures, Botox administration, skin biopsies and Nerve Blocks.
Responsibilities
- Admit, round on, and discharge patients with ischemic stroke, ICH, and cerebrovascular disorders.
- Lead initial evaluations and implement diagnostic/therapeutic plans.
- Lead and manage stroke codes.
- Analyze labs, imaging, and physiologic data to optimize care.
- Act as the primary APP lead under physician guidance, ensuring seamless clinical documentation and discharge planning.
