About The Position
Winchester Hospital (part of Beth Israel Lahey Health) is hiring a versatile Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their collaborative Neurology team. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine acute inpatient care with rewarding outpatient relationships, allowing for a mix of fast-paced hospital consults and longitudinal care in an ambulatory clinic setting.
Requirements
- Current NP or PA license in Massachusetts
- DEA & MCSR
- Board certified (Acute Care NP preferred for nurses due to inpatient scope; NCCPA for PAs)
- ACLS/BLS required
- 1–2 years of experience in neurology, neurosurgery, or hospital medicine is highly preferred.
- Vaccinated against influenza (flu)

Responsibilities
- Respond to acute neurology consults, perform daily rounding, manage post-stroke protocols, and coordinate safe discharge plans.
- Diagnose and manage chronic conditions (migraines, epilepsy, Parkinson's, cognitive disorders) and handle post-discharge follow-ups.
- Order and interpret neuro-imaging (MRI, CT, EEG) and partner with multidisciplinary teams.
