About The Position

Neuro Oncology APP – Full-Time Opportunity | Carilion Clinic Join a growing and innovative neuro oncology team at Carilion Clinic, where you’ll play a meaningful role in shaping a new service line while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. What You’ll Do: Provide comprehensive care to neuro oncology patients across both inpatient and outpatient settings Split your time between hospital rounding and clinic visits, offering continuity of care throughout the patient journey Dedicate approximately 80% of your time to direct clinical care Spend 20% of your time as a Service Line Coordinator , helping develop and grow a new neuro oncology program What We’re Looking For: Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) with a passion for neuro oncology Prior oncology experience preferred, but not required A collaborative team player excited to contribute to a developing specialty program Schedule & Work-Life Balance: Monday–Friday, day shift No weekends No holidays This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on patient care with program development in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP), DEA license and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required or Physician Assistant ( PA) .
  • AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
  • Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
  • Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.
  • Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers, good written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior oncology experience preferred, but not required
  • Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
