About The Position

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Clinical Lead provides clinical direction, mentorship, and leadership to the APPs within their respective department or region. The APP Clinical Lead is accountable for providing structure and support in the onboarding, department training, and continuing education activities of APPs within their given department. They collaborate closely with APP system leadership as well as their respective department Operations leadership and Physician leadership. The APP Clinical Lead assists with day-to-day clinical operations, department staffing and scheduling, and APP compliance as appropriate. At least 20-25% of the role will be spent administratively but may require greater administrative time dependent upon the needs of the department.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years APP clinical experience required.
  • Master of Science degree in a nursing or a physical science program from an accredited institution is required.
  • Must be a graduate of an approved nurse practitioner program, physician assistant program.
  • Must be certified or eligible for certification by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine and Licensure or licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing Examiners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) with appropriate certification.
  • BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous managerial or professional education experience preferred.
  • May require ACLS certification.
  • May require PALS (pediatric advanced life support).
