Requirements

  • Advanced Life Support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of your specialty unit by strategically assigning and directing nursing staff to ensure every patient receives high-quality, population-appropriate care.
  • Optimize unit productivity by balancing patient acuity with available resources, making the real-time adjustments necessary to maintain clinical excellence and safety standards.
  • Resolve clinical and operational hurdles by acting as the primary point of contact for patient care concerns, ensuring all issues are addressed through professional, established channels.
  • Mentor the clinical team by providing direct input on hiring, training, and performance evaluations, fostering a culture of professional growth and high-level accountability.
  • Orchestrate the availability of essential medical supplies and resources, setting daily priorities that align with physician needs and the ever-changing dynamics of a high-volume nursing unit.
