About The Position

Valiant is looking for an APOD Warehouse Specialist Work Group Leader to join our team! This role involves assisting the Aerial Port of Debarkation (APOD) Site Lead and Assistant Lead in all actions concerning the receipt, storage, issue, accountability, and maintenance of APOD expendable and non-expendable supplies and property. The position performs a variety of warehouse duties requiring an understanding of the organization's storage plan, verifies materials against receiving documents, and routes materials to prescribed storage or use locations. The role also includes operating a forklift, performing basic computing, filing, and copying, and conducting simple maintenance on facilities and equipment, as well as ground maintenance. The specialist will use military forms, mobile radio communications, and coordinate activities with various offices. Supervisory duties are performed in support of meeting PWS requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and a Common Access Card (CAC) for access to government computer.
  • Experience in military or civilian equivalent logistics programs to include property accountability, warehouse operations, and equipment maintenance.
  • Must be able to utilize Microsoft Access database.
  • Must be able to travel unaccompanied throughout the continental US and foreign countries.
  • Individual must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening; will be subject to random drug screening.
  • Individual must have a valid state driver’s license.
  • Must be able to work shift work, days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be computer literate and have excellent communication skills (written and oral).

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Aerial Port of Debarkation (APOD) Site Lead and Assistant Lead in all actions concerning the receipt, storage, issue, accountability, and maintenance of APOD expendable and non-expendable supplies and property.
  • Performs a variety of warehouse duties which require an understanding of the organization's storage plan.
  • Verifies materials against receiving documents; notes and reports discrepancies or damage; routes materials to prescribed storage or use locations.
  • Capable of operating forklift in order to move supplies and materials.
  • Routinely performs basic computing, filing, and copying in order to maintain accountability, track supplies, and submit work orders through the appropriate agencies.
  • Performs simple maintenance on facilities, such as: paint, ceiling tiles and lights.
  • Performs simple maintenance on numerous pieces of equipment, including but not limited to: lawn mowers, small tractors, bush hog and refrigeration units.
  • Performs ground maintenance to include: mowing, weed trimming, brush hogging, excavating and spraying fence rows.
  • Routinely uses military forms.
  • Frequently uses mobile radio communications.
  • Rotates shift work between both day and night shifts as required, to include weekends and holidays.
  • Individual coordinates activities with a variety of offices that include, but are not limited to, the following: Office of the Program Manager; MSC Quality Control office, Operations Group Engineer, Operations Group S4 OIC and NCOIC, England Airpark Authority, Pride, and the Role Play Carpentry and Electrical Cells.
  • Performs supervisory duties in support of meeting PWS requirements.
  • All other duties as required commensurate with the position.
  • Other duties as assigned.
