About The Position

This is a student employment position in the Office of Community Service, specifically for the APNH (A Place to Nourish Networks) organization. The role involves staffing the reception area, answering and directing phone calls, greeting clients, and handling incoming mail. Additionally, the position supports agency operations through tasks such as typing, filing, ordering and organizing supplies, and other administrative duties like developing correspondence, managing Excel databases, and updating spreadsheets. Confidentiality regarding funding, personnel, and client information is crucial and must be maintained according to APNH's standard operating procedure manual. The position requires the ability to multi-task.

Requirements

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good telephone rapport
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ensure confidentiality in all aspects of funding, personnel and client information according to APNH’s standard operating procedure manual.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Between 6-8 hours availability per week during the agencies operational hours
  • Reliable form of transportation to get to and from work

Responsibilities

  • Staff reception area and answer and direct phone calls
  • Greet clients
  • File incoming mail
  • Support areas of the agency through typing, filing, ordering and organizing supplies, etc.
  • Additional administrative duties may be required such as developing correspondence, excel databases or updating of databases and spreadsheets
