About The Position

We are seeking a licensed Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work collaboratively with our Urgent Care Department in a Per Diem role.
Requirements
- Current NY/CT State License
- Board Certification
- 2+ years of related experience preferred
- Solid decision-making, analytical, time-management, and communication skills
- Experience in treating both pediatric and adult populations
Responsibilities
- Identifying chief complaints/issues
- Obtaining detailed and accurate patient histories
- Performing physical exams
- Performing procedures including (but not limited to) suturing, splinting and abscess draining
- Interpreting diagnostic and other test results (e.g. EKGs, X-Rays, Lab Work)
- Communicating and educating patients
- Formulating treatment plans and arranging follow-up care as needed
- Working closely with physicians and support staff to ensure efficiency and proper patient flow
