About The Position

We are seeking an exceptionally seasoned and strategic APM Lead (Application Performance Monitoring) - Senior Infrastructure Engineer with a strong Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) focus. This role combines deep technical leadership in APM with hands-on, customer-facing engineering to deliver tailored observability solutions within complex enterprise environments. This role serves as both a top-tier technical authority and a forward deployed partner, working closely with internal stakeholders and external customers to design, implement, and optimize performance monitoring solutions in real-world environments. You will bridge product/platform capabilities with customer-specific needs, ensuring observability platforms directly support reliability, scalability, and business outcomes. In this role, you will establish the long-term vision for APM capabilities while rapidly developing and deploying customized solutions. You will influence architectural decisions across application, platform, SRE, and cloud teams, embedding performance engineering, proactive detection, and data-driven optimization into the full software development lifecycle. Success in this position will be defined by clear, measurable outcomes: materially improving application performance, reducing the frequency and severity of customer-impacting incidents, shortening time to detection and root-cause resolution, and equipping engineering teams with trusted, high-fidelity performance insights at enterprise scale. This role is expected to drive durable operational improvements, strengthen platform reliability and resilience, and increase engineering velocity by making observability more actionable, consistent, and embedded in day-to-day delivery. Equally important, you will convert field experience into repeatable patterns, scalable solutions, and strategic recommendations that shape enterprise observability standards and influence broader technology direction. For this opportunity, Truist will not sponsor an applicant for work visa status or employment authorization, nor will we offer any immigration-related support for this position (including, but not limited to H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, TN-1 or TN-2, E-3, O-1, or future sponsorship for U.S. lawful permanent residence status.) This position is office-centric 5 days a week in one of our Truist hub locations.
