Apartment Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Monarch Investment and Management Group is hiring a full-time Apartment Maintenance Technician at Bavarian Woods in Middletown. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with on-call coverage once every three weeks. On-call weeks include a $100 bonus, and call-outs are paid for a minimum of 1.5 hours. Compensation is $22–$24 per hour, plus quarterly bonuses of up to $750. The role involves completing apartment and property repairs, preparing units between resident occupancy, assisting with preventative and exterior maintenance, maintaining grounds, and participating in a 24/7 emergency on-call system. A physical demonstration of basic job duties is required during the interview process.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of apartment maintenance experience.
- Basic knowledge of drywall and painting, and carpentry experience.
- Plumbing and electrical skills are required.
- Working knowledge of appliances, including washers and dryers.
- Ability to physically demonstrate basic job duties during the interview process.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of maintenance-field experience is preferred.
- EPA Universal certification.
- HVAC repair experience.
- CPO certification.
Responsibilities
- Complete work orders in a timely manner according to priority.
- Turn and prepare units between tenant occupancy.
- Repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and HVAC issues in apartments and on the property.
- Assist with preventative maintenance as assigned.
- Perform exterior structural maintenance as needed.
- Assist with property grounds maintenance and snow removal as needed.
- Assist with coverage of a 24/7 emergency on-call system.
