About The Position

Makowsky Ringel Greenberg, LLC is accepting applications for an experienced, HVAC-certified Maintenance Technician serving apartment communities in Memphis, Tennessee. The role requires strong organizational and customer service skills, effective time management, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced maintenance and repair environment.

The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, with rotating on-call responsibilities and overtime as needed. The technician performs maintenance, repairs, and apartment preparation tasks, documents work daily, follows company safety policies and applicable OSHA standards, and assists other company technicians as needed.

Requirements

• HVAC certification is required; Universal certification is preferred.
• Two or more years of apartment maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
• Physical ability to perform the assigned tasks.
• General knowledge of building codes and laws applicable to maintenance and repair work.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to complete required daily documentation of work performed.
• Must provide own tools.
• Must have a reliable vehicle suitable for maintenance work.
• Must have a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
• Must pass a credit check, background check, and drug screening.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage time well and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Repair appliances.
• Repair and install HVAC equipment.
• Perform plumbing repairs.
• Perform electrical repairs.
• Install, repair, and rekey locks.
• Move and install appliances.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Prepare apartments for move-ins.
• Assist other company technicians with troubleshooting and repairs.
• Follow company safety policies, including applicable OSHA safety standards.
• Document work performed daily.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
