About The Position

NHE, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at a multifamily community. This role oversees repairs, unit turns, preventive maintenance, safety compliance, vendor coordination, and supervision of on-site staff. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and committed to excellent resident service.

Requirements

5+ years general maintenance experience; multifamily experience preferred
Prior supervisory experience required
Strong troubleshooting skills (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, etc.)
Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation
Basic English literacy and math skills
EPA Freon Recovery (Type I & II or Universal) required

Nice To Haves

CAMT, HVAC, plumbing, or additional trade certifications preferred
Required state/local permits (pool, electrical, HVAC, plumbing)

Responsibilities

Supervise, schedule, and perform daily maintenance operations
Coordinate with Community Manager on inspections, move-ins/outs, and projects
Ensure units are ready for occupancy, including all repairs and make-ready tasks
Manage service requests, monitor completion quality, and minimize callbacks
Hire, train, coach, and evaluate maintenance team members
Conduct vacant unit inspections and confirm readiness for move-in
Identify and address safety hazards; enforce PPE and safety standards
Oversee preventive maintenance for property systems and equipment
Manage inventory, order supplies within budget, and assist with budgeting
Maintain clean work areas and respond to emergencies and weather conditions
Coordinate vendors, warranties, and quality control
Perform maintenance technician duties as needed
