About The Position
Living Well Homes is seeking an experienced, full-time Maintenance Supervisor for one of their Kansas properties, The Dylan Apartments. This role requires certifications such as HVAC, CPO, or EPA, and a passion for managing a busy apartment maintenance team. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the repair and maintenance of the building and its mechanical equipment, ensuring timely installation and upkeep of property systems like elevators for optimal operational effectiveness. This role involves delegating tasks such as painting, plumbing, and air conditioning to subordinates while overseeing team productivity.
Requirements
- HVAC Certification required
- Minimum experience of 2 years in a maintenance role
- Minimum experience of 5 years in a supervisory role
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Familiarity in understanding blueprints and schematics
- Effective communication and people management skills
Nice To Haves
- CPO certification preferred
- EPA certification preferred
- Property maintenance: 2 years (Preferred)
- A Supervisory role: 2 years (Preferred)
- HVAC Certification (Preferred)
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Train and supervise employees of the maintenance department
- Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work
- Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair
- Ensure that company premises and facilities are kept in clean and hygienic condition
- Implement workplace safety policies and standards
