Requirements

• General knowledge of accounting and understanding of the general ledger accounts and how they relate to invoices.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Excellent mathematical skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Minimum of a High school diploma plus 3-5 years previous accounts payable experience.
• Knowledge of 3-way match

Nice To Haves

• Experience with QuickBooks online is a plus.
• Excel skills a plus

Responsibilities

• Review and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring that the details match purchase orders and receipts.
• Enter invoice information into the accounting system, ensuring accurate and timely posting of all transactions.
• Prepare and schedule payments for approved invoices, ensuring they are made on time and in accordance with company policies.
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries, resolving discrepancies and answering questions.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Support the accounting team during month-end and year-end closings, including reconciling accounts payable ledgers.
