About The Position

W.T. Byler, a Quanta Services Company, is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk (AP) with a background in Construction to join our team in the Houston, TX area. The AP Clerk is responsible for managing and processing invoices, ensuring accurate financial records, and maintaining positive relationships with vendors. This role involves reviewing invoices for accuracy, posting transactions to the ledger, processing payments, and handling inquiries from vendors. Additionally, the clerk may be tasked with scanning and organizing documents, entering per diem expenses, and generating payment batches. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential to succeed in this position.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience
• Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Handle large volume invoice processing (500+ monthly)
• Utilize multiple AP software programs simultaneously.
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Experience with purchase orders (PO) and accruals.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with Sage300 CRE, hh2 or Spectrum is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage electronic invoices belonging to assigned vendors
• Review/revise approved invoices and post to the ledger
• Respond to vendor emails and as needed
• Scan and save field tickets and attach tickets to invoice
• Scan mailed invoices and move into routing system
• Invoice Processing for document management
• Enter any Per Diem into Sage and generate ACH batches (as received)
• Print/enter any one-off checks (as requested)
• Per Diem and one-off checks – lead person changes weekly.
• Month End all invoices entered for that period before close.
• Make any requested corrections.
• Review vendor statements and request missing invoices and/or credits
