About The Position

The Accounting & Payroll Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll in accordance with federal, state, and organizational regulations. This role ensures proper documentation, reporting, and reconciliation of payroll-related transactions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and experienced in payroll processing systems and practices, preferably with ADP experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years payroll processing experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and procedures
  • Proficiency with payroll software systems
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Nice To Haves

  • ADP experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process biweekly and/or monthly payrolls accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies
  • Review and audit timecards, earnings, deductions, and adjustments for accuracy
  • Coordinate with Human Resources and department managers to resolve discrepancies or missing information
  • Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in status or pay
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed for internal and external purposes
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, with a focus on timely and professional communication
  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, including overtime and paid leave policies
  • Assist with year-end processes such as W-2 distribution and payroll tax reporting
  • Support audits and reconciliations related to payroll and benefits as assigned
  • Serve as back-up for the Benefits Coordinator
