About The Position
We are seeking an entry level accountant to join our team. This position will be responsible for a wide range of accounting efforts in a multifaceted group of companies. This position will have a wide range of responsibilities impacting the financial statement and control environments for a group of operational, development, and construction entities.
Requirements
- Experience in the construction industry or similar experience
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft software products
- Ability to learn new software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in development, construction, hospitality, restaurants a plus
Responsibilities
- Process and manage subcontractor draws to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Manage lien and sworn statements waivers
- Request W-9 forms from vendors.
- Collect banking information from vendors for electronic payments.
- Research past-due invoices and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
- Collaborate with operations for invoice approvals.
- Validate hours, deductions, and process payroll accurately.
- Review new hire packets for completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate with operations to meet payroll deadlines.
- Complete I-9 forms and E-Verify processes.
