Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a curious, results-driven Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) Manager to own the development, implementation, and optimization of AWS content visibility across AI-powered answer engines including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini. As an AEO Manager for AWS Search Marketing, you will have the opportunity to improve how AI answer engines discover, interpret, and cite AWS content. A successful candidate will be an advocate for AEO best practices and well-versed in what it takes to optimize a multi-thousand page, high-traffic marketing website for AI answer engine citation and visibility. This role requires a proven track record in content optimization, a deep understanding of how large language models retrieve and surface information, and the ability to contribute to governance and operational rigor in a fast-moving space — supporting the codification of best practices, recommending process improvements, and helping connect a central strategy team with distributed marketing teams. Strong analytical skills to develop strategies grounded in data, and interpersonal skills to influence across teams and drive adoption of AEO practices, are essential.
