About The Position

NFG Brokerage, an affiliate of Cetera Financial Group, is seeking an experienced Annuities Sales Specialist to join their growing team. This role is responsible for strengthening and expanding relationships with existing and prospective financial professionals through strategic outreach, digital engagement, and consultative support. The Annuity Sales Specialist will support financial professionals in understanding how to implement various annuity planning strategies and products into their practice. This requires a deep working knowledge of annuities, including different types and their appropriate use cases. The specialist must be able to connect investor challenges to product solutions and educate financial professionals on implementation. The position requires strong consultative skills to assist financial professionals with sales ideas, prospecting techniques, overcoming objections, providing unbiased product guidance, and closing sales opportunities, including developing strategies for point-of-sale meetings. The role will regularly interact with Regional Sales Teams, New Business, Contracting, and Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 2+ years of prior sales experience.
  • Active Life, Accident, & Health license.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and effective presentation/training skills.
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and communication skills, including adaptability to different personality types.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well both independently and collaboratively, having a desire to be part of a cohesive team.
  • Willingness to learn and self-teach.
  • Positive attitude and ambition to help others succeed.

Nice To Haves

  • FINRA Series 6 or 7 securities registration is a plus.
  • A deep functional understanding of investment and protection products.
  • Strong aptitude for technology and Microsoft Office proficiency (especially Excel).
  • Ability to solve complex problems, focusing on results.
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills to convey value propositions effectively.
  • Convey technical information to users in non-technical, clear terms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining focus and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Promote NFG Brokerage and the annuity solutions available through NFG to current and prospective financial professionals.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for the different annuity product lines supported by the team consisting of, Fixed, Indexed, and Registered-Index Linked Annuities.
  • Consult with advisors to deliver product guidance and suitability insights tailored to specific client scenarios.
  • Assist advisors with strategic sales ideas and competitive product positioning and provide advisors with guidance as to best-in-class solutions and resources from our partnering carriers.
  • Support advisor education on key investment challenges, including asset protection and retirement security.
  • Provide market trend insights, contribute to marketing and educational initiatives, and deliver presentations via inbound/outbound calls, webinars, and one-on-one consultations.
  • Advocate for the resources, tools, services, and support we provide our financial professionals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
