About The Position

Lampire Biological Labs is hiring an Animal Technician to balance production and large- or small-animal care. The role supports the delivery of consistent, high-quality products and services to customers and requires complete, accurate documentation. Duties include daily animal care and production activities, maintaining animal living areas, and keeping records. The position involves an active work environment, with exposure to temperature extremes and occasional farm equipment; noise can range from minimal to loud.

Requirements

Good oral and written communication skills in English.
Windows-based computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A valid driver's license in good standing for a minimum of three years.
Ability to give directions, train others, and communicate effectively while working in a team.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to move 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch during the workday.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide daily animal care, observe animals for signs of disease or illness, report findings, and help treat minor cases.
Complete daily production tasks, which may include injections and bleeding.
Maintain animal living areas, including sanitizing, cleaning, and disinfecting areas and enrichment items.
Complete accurate reports and documentation, including maintenance sheets, room temperature logs, animal treatments, and animal inventory.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work rotating holidays and weekends.
