About The Position

As a Processing Technician at Mixlab, you’ll help prepare accurate, high-quality medication orders for pet parents and support smooth pharmacy operations. You’ll work with pharmacists and the logistics team to process and package prescriptions, maintain accurate records and inventory, troubleshoot issues, and improve the customer experience. The role is part-time and offers 28 hours weekly. The pharmacy is closed on Sundays and all major holidays. A sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

• Experience working in a data processing, fulfillment, or retail role.
• Customer-focused mindset; in this role, a pet-focused mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Ability to move boxes holding medications weighing up to 25 pounds across the office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative, team-player approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare orders by confirming customer data; counting, filling, and labeling medications; and packing orders.
• Ensure patient information and records are accurate and update them as necessary.
• Check prescriptions for completeness.
• Handle customer interactions in a friendly and professional manner.
• Partner with pharmacists and the logistics team to troubleshoot issues and work on special projects that improve quality and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor inventory in accordance with New York State Board of Pharmacy and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Maintain an organized work area and the appearance of the pharmacy.
• Cross-train over time in other Mixlab functions, including customer service, logistics, and compounding.
• Recommend digital process changes and troubleshoot bugs to improve the pet parent experience.
• Perform other related duties, responsibilities, and assignments as required by management to meet business needs.
