About The Position

Mixlab, a fast-growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, is hiring a part-time Pharmacist for its Florida pharmacy. The pharmacist will help ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and provide a dependable resource for customers, veterinarians, and owners of large animals, including horses and exotics. This role offers 28 hours per week. The pharmacy is closed on Sundays and all major holidays. A sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

• Licensed and certified pharmacist in Florida, in good standing with all State Boards of Pharmacy.
• At least 2 years of experience in a high-volume setting.
• Impeccable attention to detail and very high standards for accuracy and quality.
• Collaborative approach and desire to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Compound, fill, and label prescriptions, and package medications.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians’ activities in accordance with Florida State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations.
• Maintain proper workflow and ensure orders are shipped in a timely manner, from order entry and processing through final verification.
• Oversee product flow from compounding and packaging through visual inspection and release.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor inventory in accordance with State Board of Pharmacy and DEA regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Ensure operational compliance with USP chapters <795>, <797>, and <800>.
• Verify that prescriptions are accurately prescribed and dispensed.
• Collaborate with Care pharmacists to counsel clients about medications, needs, uses, and instructions.
• Perform additional functions, including processing and customer care, as needed.
