Animal Care Technicians provide loving care for pet guests staying and playing at the pet hotel, with a focus on safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Requirements

Love of animals.
Professional manner at all times.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds or more.
Ability to stand and walk for eight hours a day.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work on a computer system.
Ability to handle dogs on leashes and work around disinfectant and sanitation chemicals, animal dander, and animal excretions.
High school graduate or equivalent.
At least one year of professional animal experience.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain pet suites, condos, general boarding areas, and the kitchen.
Feed and water pet guests, and feed and medicate them according to instructions.
Monitor and accurately chart each pet’s consumption and elimination, and report concerns to management.
Monitor pet belongings.
Perform laundry duties.
Welcome human and pet guests and check them in and out while providing excellent customer service.
Escort pets to and from their rooms.
Follow safe animal-handling procedures and correctly identify animal body language and behavior.
Provide individual care to boarding guests.
Sanitize and disinfect pet suites, condos, and general boarding areas.
Help maintain facility cleanliness and communicate with management and team members.
Work individually and as part of a team; assist other associates and perform other duties as needed.
