About The Position

Animal Care Technicians provide care for pet guests staying and playing at the pet hotel, with a focus on safety, comfort, and cleanliness. The employer is an expanding, employee-owned and operated pet care company with more than 80 locations in 26 states and 30 years in business. Requirements

At least one year of professional animal experience.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Possess a love of animals and display a professional manner.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds or more.
Ability to stand and walk for eight hours a day.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and use a computer system.
Ability to handle dogs on leashes and work around disinfectant and sanitation chemicals, animal dander, and excretions.
Ability to work individually and as a team player.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain pet suites, condos, general boarding areas, and the kitchen.
Feed and water pet guests, and feed and medicate them according to instructions.
Monitor each pet guest and accurately chart consumption and elimination, reporting concerns to management.
Monitor pet belongings.
Perform laundry duties.
Provide individual care to boarding guests.
Welcome human and pet guests and check pets in and out while providing excellent customer service.
Escort pets to and from their rooms.
Follow safe handling procedures and correctly identify animal body language and behavior.
Contribute to facility cleanliness by sanitizing and disinfecting pet suites, condos, and general boarding areas.
Communicate with management and other team members.
Assist other associates and perform other duties as needed.
