About The Position

Destination Pet is seeking an Animal Care Attendant to join their team at Golrusk Pet Care Center. This role is for individuals passionate about animals who want to turn their love for pets into a rewarding job. Destination Pet aims to elevate the love and lives of pet families by providing comprehensive care including day care, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary services. The goal is to make pets feel at home and their humans feel at ease.

Requirements

• A love for animals.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
• Must be able to be on feet for the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
• Schedule flexibility, with the ability to work nights (3pm-8pm) and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus.
• Eagerness to learn if new to the field.

Responsibilities

• Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
• Serving meals and fresh water to pets.
• Monitoring the health, happiness, and behavior of each pet guest.
• Reporting any unusual observations to the General or Assistant Manager.
• Supervising playtime and interactions among pets.
• Assisting with brushing and bath time.
• Handling laundry and pet belongings to ensure cleanliness.
• Making tails wag and ensuring pets are happy.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
