About The Position

Destination Pet is seeking an Animal Care Attendant for The Ohana Pet Resort. This role involves providing care for pets, ensuring their comfort and safety, and maintaining a clean environment. The company emphasizes a team-oriented approach and a passion for animals, aiming to "elevate the love and lives of pet families" through various services including day care, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary services.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and "accidents" is part of the gig.
• Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift.
• Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
• A borderline-obsessive love for animals.
• A willingness to get your hands dirty (literally).

Nice To Haves

• Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus.
• If you're brand new and eager to learn—we want to meet you!
• A cool, calm, and professional demeanor—even when a Great Dane steals your mop.

Responsibilities

• Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
• Serving up meals and fresh water.
• Monitoring the health, happiness, and behavior of every pet guest.
• Reporting anything unusual to the General or Assistant Manager.
• Supervising playtime.
• Assisting with brushing and bath time.
• Handling laundry and belongings.
• Making tails wag.
• Other duties as assigned.
