Destination Pet is seeking an Animal Care Attendant to join their team at Pet Palace Cary. This role involves providing care for pets, including cleaning, feeding, monitoring health, and supervising playtime. Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and "accidents" is part of the gig.
• Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift.
• Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.

Nice To Haves

• Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
• Serving up meals and fresh water.
• Monitoring the health, happiness, and poop of every pet guest.
• Reporting anything unusual to the General or Assistant Manager.
• Supervising playtime, tail-wagging, and the occasional game of fetch.
• Assisting with brushing and bath time.
• Handling laundry and belongings.
• Making tails wag.
• Other duties as assigned.
