About The Position

Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital is currently recruiting for a dependable and outgoing Animal Care Attendant to join our ER/ICU Team. This full-time opportunity includes a range of responsibilities which directly contribute to the efficient and effective daily operation of the department. Our departments provide thorough training to all new staff members to ensure the success of all new team members!

• Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment
• Compassion and nurturing attitude

Responsibilities

• Caring for our patients; feeding, walking and offering a gentle voice of assurance
• Ensure animal housing or enclosure is clean, sanitary and comfortable
• Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patients and pet parents
• General housekeeping duties
• Willingness to learn more regarding veterinary services and updated medical procedures
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and maintain a high quality of care in a busy environment
• Ability to adapt in changing situations
• Working with a team focus, assisting the veterinary staff with various procedures, tasks and treatments
