About The Position
Destination Pet is seeking an Animal Care Attendant to join their team at Gagnon's Pet Resort. This role is for individuals who are passionate about animals and want to turn their love for them into a rewarding job. Destination Pet offers a community that aims to elevate the love and lives of pet families, providing services such as day care, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary services. The goal is to make pets feel at home and their humans feel at ease.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift.
- Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
- Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus, but not required if eager to learn.
- A willingness to get your hands dirty.

Responsibilities
- Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
- Serving meals and fresh water to pets.
- Monitoring the health, happiness, and behavior of every pet guest.
- Reporting any unusual observations to the General or Assistant Manager.
- Supervising playtime.
- Assisting with brushing and bath time.
- Handling laundry and pet belongings.
- Making tails wag.
- Other duties as assigned.
