About The Position

Destination Pet is seeking an Animal Care Attendant to join their team at Woof Pet Resort. This role is for individuals passionate about animals who want to turn their love for pets into a rewarding job. Destination Pet aims to elevate the love and lives of pet families by providing comprehensive care including day care, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary services. The goal is to make pets feel at home and their humans feel at ease.

Requirements

• A borderline-obsessive love for animals.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and "accidents" is part of the gig.
• Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift.
• Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
• Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus, but not required if eager to learn.
• A cool, calm, and professional demeanor.
• A willingness to get your hands dirty.

Responsibilities

• Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
• Serving meals and fresh water to pets.
• Monitoring the health, happiness, and waste of every pet guest.
• Reporting any unusual observations to the General or Assistant Manager.
• Supervising playtime, tail-wagging, and games of fetch.
• Assisting with brushing and bath time.
• Handling laundry and pet belongings.
• Making tails wag.
• Other duties as assigned.
