Requirements

  • Board-certified through the American Board of Radiology
  • Any state license is honored.
  • Must be clean, active, and unrestricted.
  • ACLS/BLS certification, preferably through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

  • Providing interventional radiology procedures, including but not limited to: Angiography, balloon angioplasty/stent placement, chemoembolization, cholecystostomy, drain insertions, embolization, radiologically inserted gastrostomy, thrombolysis, dialysis access & related interventions, radiofrequency ablation, endovenous laser ablation of varicose veins, cryoablation, line insertion, IVC filters, Vertebroplasty, nephrostomy placement, ITPS placement, Biliary intervention, and biopsy.
  • Review of consults/orders and next-day patient cases.
  • Post-procedure evaluation and follow-up, as well as clinical consultation regarding complications of interventional radiologic procedures.
  • Discharge education and follow-up instructions that are coordinated within the next care settings for all emergency department patients.
