The Interventional Radiologist conducts minimally invasive procedures using radiologic imaging to diagnose and treat conditions like vascular diseases, cancer, and organ abnormalities. Perform treatments such as angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, tumor ablation, and biopsies. Administer catheter-based treatments for vascular and non-vascular diseases. Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and imaging findings. The Interventional Radiologist provides post-procedure care and follow-up evaluations to ensure successful treatment outcomes. Work closely with referring physicians and specialists (e.g., oncologists, surgeons) to integrate interventional radiology into comprehensive patient care plans. Ensure that post-procedure orders are posted, and a warm handoff is made in case requiring post-procedure care. Provide consultation and instruction to referring physicians regarding appropriate indications for Interventional radiologic procedures. The Interventional Radiologist provides review of all requested exams.
