Angels Baseball & Softball Camps Director (Laguna Niguel - South Orange County)
About The Position
Angels Baseball Camps is seeking a Site Director for our summer youth baseball and softball camps across Orange County and Riverside County. The ideal candidate will be energetic, positive, and passionate about inspiring youth to make good choices, be accountable, and have a great time. We provide the equipment, training, and curriculum, while the director provides leadership to ensure a wonderful learning experience for campers aged 4-13. The role involves enhancing campers' love for the game, fostering new friendships, improving skills, and instilling an appreciation for personal accountability. We offer various coaching positions, from Coach to Site Director, catering to different skill levels.
Requirements
- Experienced leader, self-starter, and excellent communicator.
- Passionate about creating a positive impact on children, families, coaches, and the community.
- Experience working with children ages 4-13.
- Coaching and/or playing baseball/softball at a high school level or higher.
- Acutely aware of physical and emotional safety, with the ability to problem-solve in real time.
- Leads by example with strong character, integrity, and a positive attitude.
- Dependable and reliable.
- Provides candid feedback to team members to help them grow personally and professionally.
- Experience and comfort with technology for efficient camp operations.
- Prepared to make a 6-week commitment, Monday-Friday, for approximately eight hours per day (July 6, 2026 to August 14, 2026).
- Prepared to travel to each site with reliable transportation.
- Able to pass a comprehensive background screening.
- Polished professional with demonstrated leadership ability.
- At times, responsible for driving a rented cargo van and having a safe space to park it.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe camp environment for all campers.
- Supervise, manage, and motivate staff and campers, ensuring a high-level camp experience.
- Execute the Los Angeles Angels Baseball Camps Curriculum daily.
- Provide feedback and suggestions during drills and games.
- Highlight teachable moments for campers to learn and grow.
- Collaborate with team members from diverse backgrounds to uphold the Angels Baseball Camps reputation.
