About The Position
This position is responsible for working in the Christmas center; lifting, carrying, loading and unloading a variety of donations that may include furniture, appliances, clothing, etc.; working to promote the safety and security of the warehouse; assisting with the cleanup, lay out, and set up of the warehouse; and assisting with possible pick up from the malls or corporations, if necessary.
Requirements
- Ability to follow instructions acquired through a partial high school education.
- Physical strength adequate to carry and unload materials from truck and in warehouse.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be willing to work shifts that vary from day to night and be on call weekends.
- Must be organized.
- Work requires working in a warehouse environment with exposure to fluctuating temperatures and discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like with lots of walking and bending.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Lifts and stacks donations in the warehouse.
- Distributes donations to their proper place as instructed in the warehouse.
- Unloads the truck at the Christmas warehouse.
- Cleans and services assigned areas in the Christmas Center.
- Pick up trash, empty garbage containers, and remove all trash to area for disposal.
