About The Position
A respected healthcare facility in Hampton, VA is seeking an experienced Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) to provide high-quality anesthesia services across a diverse surgical caseload.
Requirements
- MD or DO with board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology
- Active Virginia medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Current DEA registration
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with regional anesthesia preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective anesthesia care for a wide range of surgical procedures (general, ortho, GI, urology, OB, and more depending on facility).
- Conduct pre-operative evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
- Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC).
- Monitor patients throughout the perioperative process and manage post-anesthesia recovery.
- Collaborate closely with CRNAs, surgeons, and perioperative staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with facility protocols and regulatory standards.
- Supervise 3 CRNAs.
